Investing in the upkeep of your marble floors and walls will ensure they stay in the best possible condition and prevents the need for future repair. There is such a large variety of base materials available in the market place and you can rely on us to know the different issues that each stone surface presents and the unique cleaning solution that matches them. There are 3 main methods we use to achieve the best result possible – chemical, abrasion, and heat – sometimes used in conjunction to produce the best result.
Chemical Cleaning
Chemical Cleaning is used to clean stone tiles to remove a variety of materials. Strong cleaning detergents are used to dissolve grease build up in both tiles and grout. Acids can also be used on some resistant stones to remove calcium based stains from the surface.
Abrasion Based Cleaning
This is often used in conjunction with chemical cleaning to remove heavier, ground-in dirt and stains. There are different degrees of abrasive cleaning from simple scrubbing to actual abrasion which grinds the surface of the stone.
Heat Based Cleaning
This is used mainly to remove heavy grease and oil build up particularly in areas like car parks and stone floors in outdoor areas.
